Habitat for Humanity Breaks Ground on Rockville Affordable Duplex

Sayles Apr 30, 2026
Councilmember Sayles joined Councilmember Sidney Katz, Rockville Mayor Monique Ashton, County Executive Marc Elrich, and representatives from Senators Alsobrooks and Van Hollen's offices for a groundbreaking ceremony at 107 Fleet Street in downtown Rockville. The project, developed in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, will create two homes on County-owned land — one for a household at 50% of Area Median Income and one at 60% AMI. The groundbreaking marks a step toward expanding affordable homeownership opportunities in the county.
