The Harriet Tubman statue, currently on a statewide tour as part of the 2026 Freedom Walk, will be featured at Montgomery County's GreenFest on April 25, 2026, at BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown. The Freedom Walk is a 750-mile modern-day retracing of Underground Railroad routes to Canada, commemorating self-liberators and abolitionists. DEP is hosting the statue stop to connect themes of natural heritage and climate preservation with the County's 250th anniversary celebration.
