Housing Agencies Receive $139M Combined in FY2027 Budget

The FY2027 budget allocates $77.5 million to the Department of Housing and Community Affairs for affordable housing preservation, code enforcement, and landlord-tenant programs. The Housing Initiative Fund receives $52.3 million to support rental assistance, Housing First initiatives, first-time homebuyer aid, and affordable housing development. The Housing Opportunities Commission receives more than $9.5 million to administer public housing and federal programs including Housing Choice Vouchers.
