International Overdose Awareness Day Event Aug. 29

Montgomery County's 2026 International Overdose Awareness Day event is scheduled for August 29 and will include a memorial, resource fair, and Montgomery Goes Purple activities to honor those lost to substance use. Families are invited to submit a photograph and written tribute of a loved one lost to substance use for display on weatherproof outdoor banners at no cost; photo submissions must be received by August 15. Organizations may also request a resource table at the event.
