Montgomery Parks + Planning May 8, 2026
Montgomery Parks is seeking public input on the renovation of New Hampshire Estates Neighborhood Park, a nearly five-acre park on University Boulevard East near Piney Branch Road and Carroll Avenue in Silver Spring. A bilingual (English/Spanish) virtual community meeting is scheduled for May 13, 2026, from 7–8:30 p.m., at which staff will present two design concepts for review and comment. Planned upgrades include a new playground, community garden, expanded soccer field or soccer court, and improved safety and accessibility ahead of the nearby New Hampshire Estates Purple Line station opening.
