WMATA Replaces Bus Shelters at Shady Grove East Metro Station

WMATA has begun a phased bus shelter replacement project at Shady Grove East Metrorail Station in Rockville as part of its Bus Shelter Replacement Program. Phase 1 construction, originally due to finish Jan. 16, remains ongoing; Phase 2 is now scheduled to begin Feb. 2, pushed back from the original Jan. 20 start. During construction, multiple bus bays will be temporarily closed in phases, with Ride On, Metrobus, and other transit providers operating from temporary ADA-compliant alternate bays.
