County Executive Releases $8B+ FY2027 Operating Budget

County Executive Marc Elrich released his Fiscal Year 2027 Recommended Operating Budget on March 13, 2026. The proposal exceeds $8 billion and includes a 6.3-cent property tax increase, a 3.3% local income tax rate, increased solid waste charges, and the creation of special taxing districts. Council President Natali Fani-González acknowledged the proposal and said the Council will scrutinize each revenue assumption.
