Red Line Closed Between North Bethesda and Friendship Heights Through Sept. 6

Metro's Red Line is suspended between North Bethesda and Friendship Heights stations from the week of July 7 through September 6, 2026, due to major construction. Trains will run in two separate segments: Shady Grove to North Bethesda, and Friendship Heights to Glenmont. Free shuttle buses will serve Grosvenor-Strathmore, Medical Center, and Bethesda stations, and free parking is available at North Bethesda and Grosvenor-Strathmore stations.
