Ride On Glenmont Express Shuttle Launched for Red Line Shutdown

Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) launched the Ride On Glenmont Express Shuttle on July 6, 2026, to serve upcounty riders during the partial Metro Red Line shutdown running through September 6. The shuttle provides direct service between Milestone Park-and-Ride, Shady Grove Metro, and Glenmont Metro stations, operating every 40 minutes Monday–Friday from 6–9 a.m. and 3–7 p.m. Closed Red Line stations during this period include Friendship Heights, Bethesda, Medical Center, Grosvenor-Strathmore, and North Bethesda.
